6 November 2025. The Istan Road and Golden Mile has had amazing progress made. Street lights are working, blue cycle lanes are in, most of the footpaths are now complete and the roundabouts at Golden Mile, Villas 11, Oliviere Valere and Epic are all builts and ready to be landscaped.

Your committee has been working hard on new projects and cost savings too. The electricity bills with Octopus Energy are even better than first thought with annual savings in excess of €30,000 per annum. We have cancelled the LaTrinidad website with New Brand Media who were charging over €600 a year. We have had our own team under Manolo paint the exterior wall along the Istan Road saving over €28,000. We have painted the footpath lights rather than replace, again at considerable savings in the region of €5,000. We are looking at Solar and Heat Pump to heat the indoor pool at potential savings of €50,000 per annum as soon as the installation cost (circa €25,000 is paid).

14 Oct 2025. There is so much that could be talked about in this news section, but maybe better to see a newsletter from the President highlighting the achievements. The roadside wall is now much taller courtesy of the Town Hall and Manolo's team have saved a small fortune in carrying out repairs and painting it. The roundabout on the Golden Mile is now fully operational and Oliviere Valere roundabout and the one by the entrance to EPIC is also well underway. I'm thinking everything finished by end of the year. We have had many committee meetings and the committee has been very active in several projects including lawns, trees, lighting, pool tiles to mention a few. See PROJECTS section to understand more.

1 July 2025. The Istan Road has now been re-opened down the hill towards Manolo Santana Tennis. There is clearly still much to be done and one wonders if there is another 12 months work still to do....

5 June 2025. The Istan Road is now really coming along well after having stopped work for several months over what we suspect was running out of money. There are young palm trees planted about every 50 metres along both sides of the road from the N-340 Golden Mile road all the way up to Olivia Valere. The perimeter wall is being worked upon to raise the height.
