Electricity & Lighting
In the first instance, savings of appreximately €25,000 per year have been identified by moving from Endesa to Octopus Energy. In the documents section you can see the 20 bills we receive each month for the community.
The lighting across the entire urbanisation has also been assessed to ensure that all lamps are working, be they stairwell lights, pavement lights, wall lights, pool lights or tree and bushes spot lights. We engaged the services of an electrician with the head guy Antonio, recommended by Manolo to look at how we can check and restore the urbanisation to as close to 100% illumination functioning as possible. As at 15 November 2025, good progress has been made. We plan to hire a cherry picker to be able to do the planter lights on all remaining apartments that have not yet been upgraded.
Are all the lights working correctly in your block?
At about 21:30, the dusk lighting will automatically operate. There should be 4 lamps illuminating the outside ceiling over the front entrance. Each planter will also illuminate and lights to illuminate the outside of the building will illuminate.
Inside the block, at about 22:00 the inside night lights should come. The night lights in the main entrance are the two ceiling LED's nearest the lift doors, the single LED lamp on garage entrance over lift and a single LED lamp on each floor. They will all go off about 01:00.
During the day time and night time, the motion detector should detect movement in the main entrance and illuminate all the wall lights and they should stay on for about 5 minutes. Each wall light should shine up and down with the same intensity. Check yours to see if they are all working ok. There is also a motion detector in the garages entrance to illuminate inside the garages and the block entry to the garages. Check yours to see it goes off after 5 minutes.
